4 nights in August?

Postby byellen » Sun Feb 21, 2010 6:47 pm

Hi,

I live in Mass and I'm looking for a 4 day hike in Yosemite or high sierras with a chance to summit a nice peak. I am very comfortable walking on most surfaces (talus, snowfields etc) but not an expert mountaineer.

Fishing along the way would be a nice bonus :)

I see this post is somewhat old, so don't know if you're still around, but here's a beautiful trip:

Start at Tuolumne Meadows and go up Lyell Canyon and the Lyell Fork. Go over Donohue Pass. Here you could summit Mt. Lyell. Over Donohue Pass you enter the Ansel Adams Wilderness. Hike to Thousand Island Lake, where I've heard some real fish stories.

An astonishingly gorgeous trip with plenty of fishing and summitting options.

:)
