Have you witnessed Horsetail Fall glow gold in February?

Postby SamPioneer » Wed Feb 20, 2013 8:06 am

Hey -

I'm Sam and i'm doing some research into a phenomenon whereby each year during a few days in February, Horsetail Fall glows gold when the sun hits it. I have never had the pleasure of seeing this first hand and i wanted to hear more about the experience.

Ideally, i'm looking for people living in the middle states (Colorado, Oklahoma, Kansas or even Texas) who have been to Yosemite and seen this happen. I'll be in these states in March and would like to meet up with someone to interview them about their experience of seeing these falls glow orange for a TV documentary.

If anyone knows any one who lives in those states and has seen this - i'd like to speak with them!

My name is Sam Mortimore you can reach me at sam.mortimore@pioneertv.com
