The Documents section in the appendices is from the first edition (pp. 170-202), published 1931 by Stanford University. It was omitted in the second edition published in 1947. The second edition also omits several photographs that were in the 1931 edition. The third edition (1957) is the last edition edited by Dr. Russell.
